Summer Reading For Leaders: Part Two

Summer reading lists never include leadership books. There’s a good reason for this – leadership books are mostly boring. Take it from me, I’ve read, or read sections of, at least a few hundred.

Reading anything on leadership is best kept for times when you are working or traveling for work. In this way you can better integrate the key points, tips, and practical guidance into your leadership days. 

One of my clients recently pulled tips from a section of a leadership book on how to run meetings effectively. He immediately put the book’s suggestions to use and brought his successes into our coaching conversations.

The best leadership books are short on theory, provide real-life leadership examples, and offer practical guidance on how to lead more effectively.
